Samantha Thole in De Aanschouw

The brand-new book De Aanschouw (Edo Dijksterhuis, December 2023) celebrates the first 22 years of De Aanschouw in Rotterdam, the most famous smallest gallery in the Netherlands with over 1000 exhibitio in a space of less than 1m².

Samantha Thole's contribution is number #791. Her photo collage Beurse Appel was presented on November 17, 2016 by curator and artist Gilbert van Drunen. An enthusiastic private collector purchased Beurse Appel within 30 minutes.

The De Aanschouw book is a paper monument to an art phenomenon that is small and grand at the same time. It is an ode to the vitality of the Rotterdam art scene.
